The US has pulled out of the United Nations Human Rights Council, calling it a "cesspool of political bias".

The US has only been in it for 9 years and a lot of other countries have now been elected as members since, notably its leadership now being with Saudia Arabia which upset the Israelis.

I lot of stuff to digest and I'm sure you'll all do it with civility and citing sources.

Have at it!

We should pull out of the United NationsPERIOD

Then we should give them 6 months to vacate. Renovate it and make it a home for veterans.

Let another country host the GD thing.

I'm no supporter of Israel, but if their argument is that Saudi Arabia lacks the credibility to lead the Human Rights Council, I have to agree. However, at the same time, with Bannon out, this is Kushner's White House now, which essentially makes it Bibi's.

Human rights? Saudi's? lol? Is this some joke? Don't they like suppress their women (besides allowing them to now drive)? Not sure if they do public hangings or stoning or beheadings like other middle eastern countries though.

To be fair, Israel isn't the bastion of human rights either with the whole colonizing the rest of Palestinian land. We have no business with Israel except to keep a homefront base of westernism to keep the savages at bay sort of speak.

Lol... China is in it as well. Organ harvest much? Good thing US left then to be honest. Besides, the term limit expiration is 2019 so leaving 1 year early isn't so bad as not wanting to renew.

The human rights council is a bit of joke, but whats the point in pulling out instead of changing it from within? Seems its just another "look over here, dont look over there" trick by trumps america as it continues to drive the country towards being an isolationist state. Its funny how people equate taking away guns with the start of dictatorships, but are happy to ignore the million other warning signs tweeted every day over the past year.
