Bye bye Roseanne!

Just hours after Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet about former Obama staffer Valerie Jarret, and producer Wanda Sykes walked off the show, ABC has cancelled the renewed seasons of “ Roseanne”.

The show returned to high ratings and praise from T-rump, when it debuted in March after a 21 year absence. ABC immediately renewed the show for two more seasons, as it was one of the highest rated sitcoms on the network ( its ratings dropped a bit as the series went on, and last weeks season finale didn’t keep the high ratings of the first few weeks).

Barr pretended the racist slur against Jarrett was just a bad joke, and eventually took down the tweet. ABC said pulling the plug on her was the right thing to do.

I'm actually not sure how it was initially known that the tweet was referring to Jarrett since it was deleted well before I heard about the incident. But it's not in dispute since Roseanne herself confirmed it was about her with her follow up tweet that read

"I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste."

Never apologize to the left. They never deserve it. Do not give one millimeter. They have taken the country so far into left field it really is a waste to pay them no never mind.

You are of a single mind with Trump and Barr .... you are so far off your rocker you have left a bunch of posts like this today just being a a-hole. Do you not recognize, like Roseanne, that there is just something wrong with you? Does it ever occur to you that as you bash the Left, in the last 20 years America has moved consistently to the right and everything is more broken, there is a lot more debt, and people like you ruin the discussions that might actually make things better. Anyway, I don't have to listen to any more of your BS, you are IGNORED.

Sara Gilbert had some choice words for her TV mom in her own Tweet, asking fans of the show that Roseanne's viewes were her own, and should not be ascribed to other cast members.

Let’s see... she’s been dropped by her agency, her original sitcom has been pulled from syndication on a variety of cable channels, and neither the show nor Roseanne is being submitted by ABC for Emmy consideration next month.

What a difference a Tweet makes.
