A woman who shot three people and then took her own life at YouTube’s headquarters Tuesday had become angry at the company because it stopped paying her for videos she posted on the platform, her father told the Bay Area News Group Tuesday night.

Nasim Aghdam, 38, told her family a couple of weeks ago that YouTube had “stopped everything,” and “she was angry,” Ismail Aghdam said in a telephone interview from his San Diego home.

Her YouTube channel included strange workout video clips, graphic animal abuse videos and vegan cooking tutorials. But recent posts show evidence of her growing frustration.

She could not, however, purchase an assault rifle in California.

The answer is we live in America where virtually anyone can buy a handgun. Even a person who has a documented instability in her YouTube videos can walk in and buy a gun.

I would point to the NRA being a factor for lax federal regulations, and I would suggest improved background checks, but if I do then I'm just a clueless Hillary supporter who wants to take guns away from law-abiding citizens. Right?

Assault rifles have been banned since the 80's. The only way of procuring one is from a specially licensed dealer and even then you need to have it registered with the federal government. Hows them "facts" working out for you?

So let me get this straight, California defines assault rifles, not based on whether they are fully or semi automatic, but based on characteristics? So because the rifle looks scary, it's an assault rifle? You do realize that a semi automatic rifle like an AR-15 can't shoot any faster than a glock don't you?

Yes. Because words mean things. And one thing is not the other just because it looks the same. So explain the logic. An AR15 can only shoot as fast as the shooter pulls the trigger. A pistol can only shoot as fast as the shooter pulls the trigger. But for some reason, because the rifle requires two hands and looks scary, that should be the one that gets banned? How does this shit work in your liberal mind?

YUP! That's the only reason rifles that look scary are still sold on mass market. Because they function exactly the same as pistols do. Infact a shooter with two pistols in hand could probably end up doing MORE damage than a shooter with one single semi automatic rifle. Libs don't like to think that far ahead though.

Unfortunately, there's no term for a weapon that has a higher-capacity magazine than your typical handgun. It's not only the rate of fire that does the damage.

Hell, a shotgun can potentially do more damage than a fully automatic assault rifle... until you run out of ammo.

Then of course, you have the issue pointed out above with bump stocks.

I stand by what I said. A shotgun can do more damage until it runs out of ammo, which happens immediately.

Nobody is calling for them to be illegal though. In fact, nobody is calling for any of these weapons to be illegal. There's no gun-banning legislation on the table being proposed by any liberal, democrat or whatever.

Bump stocks are currently on the table though, and high-capacity magazines could be near.
