If they're so worried about Russian interference in the upcoming 2018 mid-election, why not just block all Russian traffic internet wise a week before and during the election cycle until it's over then resume thereafter?

Also, authoritative governments always win since US can't influence their elections when they already rig it themselves. :p

We are pretty much at war with Russia. Just not the conventional warfare. Proxy and cyber wise, we are.

Unfortunately it's true. War is an extreme term, but Russia will never relinquish it's cyber spies against us even if the US became besties with Russia. The Kremlin is corrupt beyond repair, and will do everything it can to obtain more global power.

Though I will admit we are pushing it by having NATO troops on their border. We wouldn't stand for it if they did it to us, but we have massive conglomerates as leverage to do pretty much everything we want. If anyone complains about our foreign policy, we deny them access to certain American companies and they start crying about it. That is the kind of power Russia is craving to have.

I agree it's a business as corruption runs throughout every vein of their goverment, but I would argue that makes it a very big problem.

Russia is nothing compared to what they were before Reagan brought down the USSR.

China is a much bigger threat and they have no reason to go to war with us. We make their politicians rich.

They may have no reason to go to war with the US but they love pushing the buttons via man-man islands, claiming most of the South China Sea against the other nations like Japan, Philippines, etc. and wanting to take over Taiwan with its one China policy. With Trump's failure at foreign policy (Obama may look weak by bowing and shit but Trump is so fucking easily manipulated along with Jared Kushner) and the lack of US diplomats around nations, we're losing our 'soft power' as China is gaining theirs. Look at how China is infiltrating Australia atm.
