More Spring Cleaning: McMaster to make his exit soon

Hope Hicks, Josh Raffel, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner....the T-rump White House seems to really be doing a spring cleaning just a little over one year after taking office. Now sources say the next one to be packing his bags is H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser.

Sources inside Camp Run-a-muck say that Chief of staff John Kelly and Defense Secretary James Mattis are the chief strategists of the plan. McMaster, the second Defense Secretary, has had a very uneasy relationship with T-rump since he took the position back in August to replace John Kelly (who replaced Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff).

McMaster is to be replaced by Stephen Biegun, currently the vice president of international governmental affairs for the Ford Motor Company. Biegun once served on the National Security Council staff from 2001 to 2003, including as a senior staffer for then-national security adviser Condoleezza Rice.

It was Rice who introduced Biegun to Mattis, and recommended him for a position in the current administration, according to a source close to Rice who publicly called him an 'outstanding person' the other day.

In an interview on Thursday, Rice said: "He’s an expert in foreign policy and of course has spent time in the private sector and obviously he would be very, very good," referring to Biegun. "But let's wait and see because H.R. McMaster is still in the job and he’s doing a really fine job."
