FBI investigating Ivanka's foreign business dealings
As they are doing a rather 'thorough' search on Jared Kushner, his family and their foreign business deals (which has cost him 'full security' at Camp Run-a-muck) the FBI is now investigating Ivanka Trump's foreign business dealings, too. The procedure is for her to get full-security clearance (and be 'one-up' on her hubby), but a Vancouver high-rise has caught their undivided attention.
The FBI is combing through Ivanka's involvement in the negotiations and financing surrounding Trump International Hotel and Tower in Vancouver. The agency, it's being reported, is curious as to whether her dealings and overseas contacts will leave her 'exposed to pressure and manipulation' from the foreign investors, as it did her husband Jared.
The hotel opened in February, 2017 and features the trademarked "Ivanka Trump Spa". One of the prime investors in the property is Joo Kim Tiah of Malaysia, the executive developer of Holborn Group in Canada. The first daughter worked very closely with Tiah since the project was started in 2013. Tiah said Ivanka 'helped him approve everything in the project'. The Trump family received over $5M in royalties from the Canadian property and $21,500 in management fees. (Like most of his properties, T-rump licenses and markets his brand on the property).
Tiah, 37, said he was instructed by employees of the Trump Orgnization that the main thing he had to do was 'connect with Ivanka', even though Don Jr and Eric were involved.
