Four Broward County Sheriff's deputies failed to enter Florida high school during shooting

It wasn't just the armed school resource officer who was a pussy. First four armed deputies refused to do their job! Don't they carry a shotgun or carbide for such events?

But Peterson wasn’t the only one — three other Broward County Sheriff’s deputies also remained outside the school with their pistols drawn as they took cover behind their vehicles, CNN reports.

Additionally, the Coral Springs police officers who arrived at the school later were frustrated and surprised that the sheriff’s deputies did not accompany them as they entered the school, sources told CNN.

Hawkins: Government Failed to Protect Us, Yet They Don’t Want Us to Protect Ourselves

Consider the information available to us at this point:

1.The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBCSO) received 911 calls about Nikolas Cruz in November 2017. The calls referenced violence and erratic behavior. CNN reports that in one of the calls with the host family, with whom Cruz was living after the death of his mother, told PBCSO they feared Cruz was going to turn a gun on the family. The family member told deputies that Cruz was “buying “tons of ammo” and had allegedly put “put [a] gun to others heads in the past.” No charges were filed, no arrest made.

2.On January 5, 2018, the FBI received a tip describing “Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.” The FBI did not act on the tip.

3.On February 14 Cruz attacked students and unarmed teachers in Stoneman Douglas High. A report from CNN claims four Broward County sheriff’s deputies were at the school as the attack was taking place but not one of them entered the school. On February 22 Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel told ABC 13 that video showed deputy Scott Peterson by building 12 on campus, yet Peterson never went inside to confront Cruz. The CNN report quotes Coral Springs sources that claim there were actually four Broward County deputies on scene who did not enter the building.

When Cruz attacked the school he faced no armed resistance because the teachers were not allowed to carry. President Trump noted that the lack of armed teachers is a weakness too great to ignore and, on February 21, called for “20 percent” of our nation’s public school teachers to be armed for school safety. The next day he reiterated his call, noting that first responders are “5 to 8 minutes” away when a school shooting occurs, but teachers are on scene to shoot sickos “immediately.”

And how did government officials respond to the call for teachers to be armed to defend themselves? The Hill reported that Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) called Trump’s push for armed teachers “abhorrent.” He intimated that arming teachers for self-defense was “an anathema.”

"(most law enforcement officers WANT GUNS BANNED.....)"

What a load of bullshit! Maybe the one who can't shoot.
Police have semi-automatic handguns and protective vests. Most have long-guns in the trunk.

Would it have been much different if he carried a shotgun? What if he just made a few pressure cooker bombs like at the Boston Marathon? Or maybe take a car and run it into a crowd at an event like the guy in new York last year? We need to stop the evil, because taking a gun isn't going to make a person like this just not be batshit crazy.

Lots of people are going to be fired! That should include police who did not arrest the psycho when he threatened people previously.

FL AG Bondi: ‘Some Folks’ in Broward County Sheriff’s Department ‘Were Not Honest With Me’
http://www.breitbart.com/video/2018/02/26/fl-ag-bondi-folks-broward-county-sheriffs-department-not-honest/

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said members of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department were not honest about why more deputies reportedly failed to enter the building and engage with the shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Bondi said, “I know a lot more than you all do now, so all I’m going to say is, yes, I believe there needs to be a full investigation. I don’t think some people were honest and we’re going to investigate this situation in Florida, and the right thing will be done.”

Steve Doocy asked, “Was there a stand-down order?”

Bondi replied, “I can’t talk about that.”

This is the news that should be making headlines, not the "NRA are terrorists" bullshit from the MSM. Others like Cruz are regularly arrested by South Florida police.

The failure of the designated school officer to engage the shooter (he’s now defending himself, saying he believed the shooting was happening outside of the school), then the revelation that four officers sat outside during the bloodbath, EMT’s who weren’t allowed to enter the school and begin working to save the wounded, and that’s just the beginning of what’s turning into an all-out scandal.

For several days, a story suggesting Broward County softened policies against juveniles has made its way around the internet. This story alleges the Broward County Sheriff’s Department was in cahoots with the Broward County School District. An arrangement of some kind was made wherein BCSD would go easy on minors in order to artificially inflate crime statistics, helping both the department and the school district to obtain grant money.

The nagging question here: why didn’t Broward County officials take repeated warnings about Cruz seriously? This theory may provide some context.

Whether or not this theory is true, we don’t know. What we do know is that according to a handful of experts, Cruz could have faced charges well before he went on a murder rampage had Broward County handled his case differently or even handled his case like other departments in the area.

To Mr Satan

This is what I heard as well. From what I understand, the Obama Justice Department felt that Black and other minority students were getting suspended and expelled from schools in numbers far out of proportion to their numbers in the population, and started a program to give grant money to those districts that reduced the number of minority suspensions, arrests, etc.

The way this school district chose to do it was to handle a student misdemeanor as a school matter and not one for law-enforcement. This way, they could artificially lower the numbers and get the grant money. The sheriff, from what I understand, went along with this.
