T-rump thinks Kelly will give Kushner 'full clearance'
T-rump told reporters today he believed Chief of Staff John Kelly will make the decision to give his son-in-law Jared Kushner 'full clearance' so he can continue to 'doing important things for our country' while he 'gets paid zero'. It's been argued that since Kushner has been working on a temporary security clearance for the past 13 months, he should not have access to classified information. Kelly gave today as a deadline for anyone who doesn't have full clearance yet to be removed from any job which deals with classified information.
Yet the decision is not really Kelly's to make. Although T-rump and his cronies insist it's due to a back-up at the FBI, it's been said by sources in the FBI that Kushner will not be getting any security clearance so long as Mueller's investigation is on-going. Kushner has been a person of interest for the investigation, as well as different White House committees, due to his involvement with the Russians.
Kushner, for his part, has 'revised' his application multiple of times over the past thirteen months. His first submission omitted more than 100 foreign contacts, 77 assets, and over $10 million in holdings. As FOX reporter Shephard Smith pointed out yesterday on his afternoon show, his omissions would “be a crime, punishable by prison” for other Americans. why not him?
