Has T-rump and the GOP called the FL shooter just a 'terrorist' or a 'disturbed young man'? In other words - what is his skin color and ethnicity? That will be the criteria.
shareIn fairness the definition of terrorism is an act that's tied to some sort of ideaology. That's why it's so hard to classify these mass shooters as their acts (as awful as they are) seem to also be done with no clear purpose. An Islamic or white supremacist terrorist has some clear (albeit misguided) agenda. These idiotic kids with a gun often don't seem to represent anything in particular.

True - but it's not always evident up front, nor 'cut and dry'.
Again, it will depend on their skin color. If he's brown or black, they will leave no stone unturned in scouring his past and tie him to 'something' - anything! - considered controversial. It will thus make him a 'terrorist'.
If he's white, they will dismiss him as 'disturbed', and no further investigating will be needed. They will advise him to get some counseling.
