T-rump supports another government shut down this week
At a heated meeting today to discuss the the violent MS-13 gang, T-rump told attendees he supports another government shutdown if the Democrats won't tighten immigration laws. The comment was not taken well with those in the room, especially those who have been working frantically on a bipartisan bill which would avoid a shutdown.
"If we don't change it, let's have a shutdown. We'll do a shutdown and it's worth it for our country. I'd love to see a shutdown if we don't get this stuff taken care of," said T-rump.
Rep. Barbara Comstock, a Virginia Republican who represents a district with thousands of federal workers, was shocked by his comments at the White House meeting, and confronted him.
Said Comstock, "We don't need a government shutdown on this. I think both sides have learned that a government shutdown is bad."
The government is funded until this Thursday, February 8. There was a shutdown a few weeks ago on the eve of his first-year anniversary in Office.
"We had one Trump shutdown, nobody wants another, maybe except him," said Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer.
