Fact check: Does the GOP memo show the FBI spied on the Trump campaign?

Pretty interesting read from the Chicago Tribune: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/politics/factcheck/ct-fact-check-gop-memo-20180203-story.html

The article concludes:

The Pinocchio Test

The GOP memo provides no evidence that the FBI spied on the Trump campaign. Instead, it shows that the court order for surveillance of Page was obtained weeks after Page and the Trump campaign had said Page was no longer part of the campaign. Trump has asserted that he never even met or spoke to Page.

Moreover, the GOP memo confirms that the separate investigation into Russian contacts with the Trump campaign was prompted by information that was not contained in the Steele dossier.

One even wonders if Republicans making claims of FBI spying on the Trump campaign have even read the memo. Such statements earn Four Pinocchios.

I was channel surfing and just watched Donnie Diapers get all choked up and tongue twisted over Adam Schiff, and the Mueller investigation. He wants to know why the investigation is still going on, when they proved nuttin' so far - nuttin'!

Well, let's see....the Clinton investigation started in 1994 with Whitewater, and lasted until 1998 with Monica Lewinsky. Republicans never suggested Kenneth Starr drop the investigation in 1995 when they found nuttin'. They told him to dig deeper - and he did, and Clinton let him. Clinton never backed down, never threatened to fire him, never said it was 'political' or a 'witch hunt', etc.

Why can't T-rump and his minions grow up and let the investigator do as he pleases?
