Is Rosenstein on Team T-rump?
Maybe T-rump just doesn't know about 'obstruction of justice' and 'interference' with the Justice Department?
Anyhow, just two months ago, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had asked for a meeting with the President, asking T-rump for help in fighting off document demands from House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes. Before Rosenstein got to the White House, T-rump had something else on his mind he wanted to ask the DAG, according to sources familiar with the meeting.
Once Rosenstein arrived, T-rump began the meeting with a few pointed questions:
He wanted to know where the special counsel's Russia investigation was heading, and more importantly - he wanted to know whether Rosenstein was "on my team."
Taken aback by the line of inappropriate questioning, Rosenstein reportedly 'demurred on the direction of the Russia investigation', and had a quick answer for 'the team' question.
"Of course, we're all on your team, Mr. President," Rosenstein responded.
At the time, Rosenstein's meeting with the President came as Rosenstein prepared to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. Trump appeared focused on Rosenstein's testimony, according to a source briefed on the matter, and he questioned the loyalty of the deputy attorney general.
Back in May, when Comey was asked something similar by T-rump, Republicans chalked it up to him being 'new' and 'still learning' what could be obstructing justice and what is not. But seven months later he still hasn't learned - or hasn't cared? Inexcusable.
Anyone else tired of all this winning?
