Omarosa joins 'Celebrity Big Brother'
Former White House something-or-other (her position was never ever well-defined) Omarosa, who commanded a six-figure salary, will be joining CBS' "Celebrity Big Brother" next week it was confirmed this evening. Desperate times, desperate measures?
Omarosa was fired from the White House by John Kelly in mid-December (she says she quit, despite all accounts to the contrary) and remained on the taxpayer's payroll until last Saturday, January 20. In an interview shortly after she was fired - errr, 'resigned' - she said she had 'much to say' about the past year working for T-rump, and when she's ready (when a book publisher will make her an offer) she will 'tell all' with stories which will shock everyone. So far, no publisher has seemed to jump at that chance.
On Monday, she signed with the American Program Bureau for 'speaking engagements' throughout the country. The agency promises her a paycheck up to $50,000 per speaking gig, depending on the venue booked. Robert P. Walker, APB's founder and CEO, says February can be a very good month for Omarosa, and he believes he will get her a number of gigs being 'Black History Month'.
Just a few problems: she's not at all popular in the Black community, and she will be locked away in the Big Brother House for the month of February. There goes that big paycheck.
