RNC chairman Steve Wynn resigns amid sexual harassment allegations

Billionaire Steve Wynn, another pal of T-rump's, has stepped down from his role as RNC chairman as news broke yesterday of sexual harassment allegations against him in The Wall street Journal. Like other good Republicans before him - T-rump and Roy Moore - he has vehemently denied the dozens of allegations reported in TWSJ.

In the meantime, Wynn Resorts, a behemoth of casinos and hotels, said the board of directors of Wynn Resorts has formed a special committee to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct made against the company's founder and CEO Steve Wynn.

Their official statement read, "The Board is deeply committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all of the Company's employees and to operating with the highest ethical standards."

Wynn has responded to the report in TWSJ with this official statement:

"The idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous. We find ourselves in a world where people can make allegations, regardless of the truth, and a person is left with the choice of weathering insulting publicity or engaging in multi-year lawsuits. It is deplorable for anyone to find themselves in this situation."

TWSJ said it conducted interviews with over 150 current and former employees as part of their investigative reporting. Wynn's defense is that the story is not true, and is a 'set up' by his disgruntled ex-wife Elaine Wynn.

They uncovered a $7.5M payout to one woman who was a married manicurist working at one of his resorts, and complained of being 'ordered' by Wynn to have sex with him in 2005. The woman later complained to her supervisor as well as filing a detailed report of the incident with HR for Wynn Resorts.

Another alleged victim is a massage therapist who says Wynn regularly made appointments with her, and demanded she massage his penis 'to climax' and wanted her to perform oral sex on him. After she complained to HR, he booked appointments with someone else.
