As T-rump would say: She's a 'yuge loser!'
While Michael Wolff's book "Fire and Fury" sits atop the best-sellers list again this week, there are reports coming out that Ivanka Trump's 2017 book "Women Who Work" has cost it's publisher a $220,000 loss.
The book, which received horrible reviews upon it's release last May, has sold only 31,900 copies so far. The book, which Ivanka was ridiculed for with her advising women on how to excel and balance both their social and professional lives when you have nannies and masseurs, has only taken in about $1.1 million.
Its publisher, Portfolio, a branch of publishing giant Penguin Random House, paid a $787,500 advance to Trump prior to her joining her father’s administration last January. She receives another installment in the coming months. Portfolio only received an estimated $566,000 from all the sales. Industry experts say Portfolio took an estimated $220,000 loss. In order for Portfolio to break even, the book would have to sell 201,923 copies - more than five times what it has sold thus far - to exceed her advance.
“This is not a moneymaker for [Penguin Random House],” a publishing executive reported. “They’re so under water.”
She's a YUGE LOSER. Bigly.
