Stop
All this b!tching and moaning about politics on a movie forum is annoying. There's enough of that crap in the news. Give movie fans a break.

shareSo you can bitch and moan about the abysmal state of the entertainment industry?
I am basking in the greatness that this country is becoming once again.
Bitching and moaning about the entertainment industry has something to do with movies. Complaining about politics already has plenty of other forums.
sharePerhaps the admin has a code of conduct that can be instituted.
shareFirst, focus on movies with as movie forum. If you wanna talk Trump, talk about his cameos and TV shows. Mention jokes with and about him on TV. Jokes like how Samuel Beckett gave the child Donald Trump stock advise in Quantum Leap. Or talk about him watching Kevin McAlister walk away in Home Alone 2.
shareThe prob occurs when you have run of the mill deranged millennials running amok on the interwebs.

A friendly suggestion:
It would become a lot less annoying for you if you didn't intentionally look up Trump's specific board post and read all of the comments. There is nothing in moviechat's community standards limiting free speech re: political discussion especially when one of its subjects has become a politician.
"MovieChat was born out of a desire to encourage free speech and open discussion..."
YA THINK? Jeepers are you obtuse. Here's the deal, I never quelled free speech or suggested it. I used my speech as a counter to the constant political discussion of Trump on a movie forum. I.E. used freedom of speech. I know you're all happy with the political battle, but a lot of people get tired of the constant political bashing and praising seen on the media. People like myself may just get annoyed to see the same malarkey here. The concept of freedom of speech is that more speech can counter others. I think it's a waste of time to constantly bitch and moan about politics on a movie forum. I never used the law to quell your speech. I never used the forum's code of conduct to stop your speech. I called the behavior out. If you think that's me taking away your rights, you're retarded by politics and missing the point of freedom of speech. BTW, just because you're fighting leftists on the internet who want freedom of speech taken away, doesn't mean everyone who doesn't agree with you agrees with that leftist.
share"Stop bitching and moaning about politics..."
That sounds like you're trying to quell what people write on this board.
This site is an offshoot of IMDB which is not just about movies, but also TV and people who work in those industries. Trump is presently a politician so it wouldn't make sense not to discuss it.
Not just battles. Also freedom of expression and speech. If you believe Trump's board is too much about politics, then create a new thread not related to politics. Create a new discussion unless this is it.
Sure, I'm doing what everyone is doing, I'm using a board to voice an opinion. You can choose to ignore it or do as you do right now. Funny thing is, you're just showing me that you're more interested in politics than movies. That's a big problem considering that the obsession with politics in EVERYTHING is annoying. Now, If you think a guy who comes to a movie discussion forum to talk about movies isn't allowed to voice an opinion about the use of that forum, you're just as bad as I am. I'm advocating that people talk about movies here because we get politics everywhere else.
It's lame.
Good Luck with the political battle. We'll probably be onto something more absurd and stupid in 24 hours. What do you think? Is it going to be trannies in the military? Will it be Russia's new political contender against Putin? Will it be N. Korea acting stupid? Or will it be more B.S. about a Tax bill that is really good, but newsies needs to makes idiots talk politics by making it seem like peoples gonna die?
It's a shell game. A sham.
"Create a new discussion unless this is it."
I'm going to assume this is the new discussion. No problem.
Unfortunately, most of the IMDB posters didn't follow to this new site so most subject boards have no or few posts. Active discussion pickings are kind of slim these days.
Next Trump discussion de jour will probably depend on his next tweet.
"...about a Tax bill that is really good"
BTW, that's relative. My bill is going up and I'm not a happy camper. Neither are the nudniks on my job who voted for him.
Have fun with that.

Well said, Keelai.

Why does the President have his own chat board on a movie forum? And why can't we talk about him on the movie forum which he has a chat board?
It's not like Trump is starring in a new movie, and we're ignoring that and talking about his politics. Some may argue he's starring in a new reality TV series - I agree - and that's what we're talking about: his actions on that reality show.
Buck up Buttercup, and get over it.

One feature they could add is an option on each forum you could select to hide it from your Trending list. That way, people annoyed with political discussions could prevent Trump's or Hillary's faces from constantly scrolling across their main page.
shareI wouldn't mind that. I bet people will call that a "violation of my free speech." For some reason, people have this thought whenever another user tells them that their discussion forum is annoying that the other user is being a totalitarian. They're not. It's an opinion just like the rest.
