"Jones is right. Democrats should be very worried about a composed Trump. The 'utterly unhinged' narrative was the only thing Hillary Clinton had to run on and it’s been the only thing fueling the hysterical protest/outrage machine for the last 2 months. If Trump can keep his composure the air will be taken out of their only defense – emotion."
I don't know. Trump has been "composed" before, then goes right back into saying something bizarre or contradictory. I don't really listen to him anymore, just watch what he actually does policy-wise.
Another talking head agreed with you and said we might have this speech to show us what might have been. Me, I want to know who wrote it. Although Trump uses only "the best words," he's not prone to flights of oratory. The speech reads better than it sounds. I had the good fortune to read the ending of it and was really impressed. When I heard Trump read it, I was underwhelmed.
Still, he was statesmanlike, and he's never been that before. It bodes well. Unlike some people, I hope he does a good job -- even though I didn't vote for him. After all, we're all in the same boat, here, and if he makes shipwreck, we don't get to stand on the shore and point and jeer -- we go down with it.
I hope he does a good job, as well. As what used to be considered "conservative", I hope he defends the Constitution, gets rid of excess that's not the Fed Govt responsibility, focuses on national security, liberty, and sends issues back to the states, localities, and citizens to make their own choices. Speech aside, he hasn't shown he has a true understanding of these things. Hopefully he's learning.
That speech was brilliant, but he already was President of the United States. If you actually listen to what he says, you realize why Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina voted for him. It's going to be a great 8 years, absolutely.
Is it surprising a day after an epic speech, the markets rallied like we haven't seen in ages? How many thousands of jobs, real jobs, not government jobs, have been added to these United States since the November election? It's pretty mind boggling the potential this great nation has, and finally it is being unlocked.
Yep, couldn't agree more. I really can't believe people are still protesting to this day. I live in NYC and there are protesters in front of his building constantly yelling...
Protesting is the very reason that women have rights now. Never stop protests until a change is made. Of course, the change should be evaluated to see if it is actually beneficial, however, never feel the need to silence a crowd of protesting people. Some of the greatest changes made, so that the U.S. could be lived in by all and more or less livable, were due to protests.
Political correctness cannot be twisted for it is correct. We should not want to go back to being politically incorrect. It's either one or the other. Would you rather be politically incorrect or politically correct? If you are not one, you have to be the other.
You are hilarious. I don't think I've read anything of yours that wasn't born out of some bitter bile toward the Silent Moderate Majority. Good luck with your bitter, sad, hateful existence. I'm sorry for you, but you're still hilarious. What a paradox !
