How was pre-Obamacare system better if 20M less had coverage?

Simple question that exposes conservative stupidity and lies about Obama's presidency, particularly Obamacare and the Stimulus, and Bush's entire failed presidency that they blame on Democrats.

How was pre-Obamacare better if 20M less had coverage?

reply

Easy. All those people who liked their plans and were told they could keep their plans and doctors didn't have to buy insurance for things they'll never need. I made it to age 54 without having to go to rehab. Obamacare requires me to buy insurance for that. My old plan was cancelled because of that, and any replacement will provide less coverage and require a higher deductible. You're gonna be one lonely idiot, Quinneth, in a week. Keep up the bad work!

I understand what you're saying, OBamacare stopped the allowing crappy policies with far less coverage.

My question is how was that HC system better if 20M less people could afford health insurance, even with the crappy policies floating around the industry?

If you get that old insurance policy you liked, but 20M people lose health coverage and can't get it again, how is it better for the 20M people who just lost their coverage and can't get it?

See how stupid you are.

No, Quinneth, the policy I had was what I needed and could afford, and I was lied to when I was told I could keep my doctor and my plan if I liked them. Period. You want to be forced to buy insurance for what you know you won't need? Oh, right, you're an idiot.

"I'm not on the ballot, but my policies are" resulted in Dem losses culminating w President Trump.

I understand that, I don't understand how having that policy for yourself made the entire health care system better if 20M people couldn't afford health insurance at all.

Can you explain that, or do you only care about yourself and don't care about people who can't afford health insurance?

Because if that's the case, why should anyone care about what type of insurance policy you want?

reply

Your premise is absurd. I bought the insurance I needed and could afford in case of emergencies, not to make the health care system better for 20 million people. I don't ask for any assistance from anyone. I pay my own way and take care of my own needs. I understand those are foreign concepts to you. I bought my house so I could live in it, not make the housing market better or so construction workers would have jobs. I liked my plan and lying POS Barry told me I could keep it. So long, idiot.
