What's the accent of hers?
I must say I'm very impressed by her natural enunciation in those interviews and in some of her films. I don't really feel her voice soothingly sounding when she adopts an American accent in films like We Need to Talk about Kevin, but of course that's still within the audible range.
I think the accent she has in Orlando is quite similar to, if not entirely the same as, what she uses as her authentic way of uttering words. For me it absolutely sounds nowhere close to what's commonly heard of from Scottish people, and thus I doubt if it is a variant of Standard Southern British English.
