As much as it pains me, I must admit that I still have not seen Underwater, thus I am looking forward to watching it on HBO.
The main reason I have yet to buy the Blu-ray is that I was offended by how expensive it was.
I mean, the damned thing was like $15 more than a regular Blu-ray.
Hopefully the price will drop and I'll purchase it if I like what I see on 11/21.
Ron, I have yet to watch anything through On Demand or any equivalent on cable.
Meanwhile, should I decide to buy the Underwater Blu-ray, I shall also have to decide where I want to buy it from.
Right now, I am quite upset with Amazon and how they handled my order of Springsteen's latest cd, Letter To You.
I placed my order back on September 13th, knowing full well that the release date was Friday, October 23rd.
Two weeks prior to the release date, I received an e-mail from Amazon informing me that I would receive the cd on the 23rd.
On Wednesday the 21st, I received an e-mail telling me that my order had been shipped.
Needless to say, when I returned home from work on the 23rd, I was very disappointed that my order had yet to arrive.
I then decided to go to the mall and buy it the next day.
Saturday morning I received another e-mail which informed me that my order was out for delivery and would arrive that afternoon.
Thus I decided to forego my trip to the mall.
My disappointment turned to anger when once again, the cd did not arrive that afternoon.
It finally arrived on Monday the 26th via UPS, but my anger only increased when I saw that there were fork truck tire marks all over the shipping envelope.
It was then I vowed to stop buying from Amazon. Basically, I have had enough of their lies for the time being.
As proof of this, two days later I bought Miguel de Cervantes' book, Don Quixote, but instead of using Amazon, I bought it from Barnes and Noble, despite the fact that I had to pay for shipping, something I would not have had to to with my Amazon Prime account.
CK, sorry to hear of the hassle you went through.
Amazon has done mostly ok for me but as I recently said in another post I do try to buy from other sellers. I find that many seem to have upgraded their shipping or something to compete with Amazon and I just want to give some business elsewhere as Amazon is so dominant.
While Underwater wasn't as good as the top films in its sub-genre, such as The Abyss or Deepwater Horizon, the critics liked it better than other popular deep sea adventures such as Sphere, Sanctum, Leviathan and The Meg.
