Speaking of false narratives, putting Kristen in the same boat as Charlie Sheen and Sean Penn would be blatantly distorted rationale if you know their history. For example, Sheen is widely despised, not for being sexually promiscuous in and of itself, but for his highly publicized meltdown which was broadcast on national TV and all over the internet, among other things. As far as his relationships, he was divorced three times in large part due to being highly unstable, being physically and verbally abusive as well as exhibiting other bizarre behavior. His first wife Donna Peele divorced Sheen after she found out he was soliciting prostitutes through an "escort agency" or should I say, a prostitution ring operated by "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss--dating whores in the strictest sense of the word--not as the OP is misapplying to K-Stew. His second wife, Denise Richards, divorced Sheen after he threatened her with violence and because of his serious illicit drug and alcohol addictions. Prior to his third divorce involving Brooke Mueller, social services took Sheen's children away from him after Mueller obtained a restraining order against Sheen as she claimed he was insane. Prior to their divorce, Sheen was arrested for assaulting Mueller and was charged with felony menacing, third-degree assault and criminal mischief.
Even Sheen's fiancees who never married him did not fare any better as about a year ago, Sheen was under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for threatening to kill his former fiancee Scottine Ross. Back in 1990, Sheen shot his fiancee Kelly Preston in the arm, which he claims was an accident--yet Preston broke off the engagement soon after. Also of note during these relationships, he was known to solicit/date pornographic actresses, including high profile adult film stars such as Bree Olson, Heather Hunter and Ginger Lynn.
As far as Penn, the Lion's share of his criticism doesn't come from him being a womanizer but rather because of his highly controversial political views such as his vocal condemnation of the Bush administration while coming to the defense of Hugo Chavez, among other things. Perhaps his most inappropriate move thus far in his "political" career was when he choose to conduct a private interview with Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, who is the drug lord of Mexico's most powerful organized crime group, the Sinaloa Cartel, according to the Los Angeles Times. The most notorious drug cartel in the sense that as of 2015, the Sinaloa Cartel is the most active illicit drug trafficking organization in the United States in terms of smuggling and trafficking dangerous drugs throughout the U.S. Thus we can see why Penn drew harsh criticism from both the White House and Mexican authorities.
How can you even begin to compare Kristen to the likes of Sheen and Penn? Are you implying that she's ill-regarded because she solicits prostitutes on a regular basis, abuses her partners, befriends dictators or attempts to acquaint herself with one of the most notorious international crime bosses on the planet? To my knowledge, from around the summer of 2009 to the beginning of the summer of 2012, Kristen dated only one person. Robert Pattinson. And yet during those years millions loved to hate on her because they thought it was cool to do so. In my opinion, there was nothing cool about such irrational hatred.
In my opinion, a better comparison would be Leonardo DiCaprio, who despite being a womanizer, or should I say, modelizer since he is known to have dated several models, even supermodels, is highly regarded by the general public despite his well known and highly publicized promiscuity.
