I think that Social Media has distorted the general discussion about American culture as a whole and it's not relegated to one political spectrum or religious group. The fact that I'm typing a response to a stranger online speaks to this devolution from a time when we use to seek out people in person and have a general discussion or to just hang out for shits 'n giggles.
