Toby fans may be happy to know that there will be a second series of Black Sails coming in Jan 2015 and there will be a Black Sails III! Fantastic news - Toby's the only real reason I watch it, but it is an intriguing series. If you haven't seen it, the DVD is out today! All Toby Stephens fans should watch this. He is amazing as Capt. Flint.
Cool! I have to admit, the first three episodes didn't convince me, but then I carried on watching, and as soon as they started to show more of Captain Flint, I was really hooked.
I also love the supporting characters (Charles Vane, Jack Rackham, Eleanor Guthrie, Anne Bonny) but this guy is really a great actor. At first Flint is shown as rather mysterious and aloof so it's hard to really get emotionally attached to him, but in the last couple of episodes, the way he suddenly expressed all these emotions... it was awesome.
Oh and I found out afterwards Toby Stephens had been in Jane Eyre, well, I remember him as being a very good Rochester, but WAY too good looking if you go by the description made in the book ^^
BLOODY HELL!! Black Sails is the ONLY *beep* reason I subscribe to Starz!! Was gonna canx it but when I saw the news about seasons deux & trés ended up keeping it!!
