Ringo's drumming was NOT ''bad''

He wasn't the greatest ever, but by far NOT anywhere near the worst. He wasn't meant to be the stand-out star (pun intended) but to hold the beat/band together in the background.

George Martin, familiar with drummers, gave him a pass.

Jealous people can't stand that he got a huge break - like Pete best girly fans.

Ringo is a great drummer. His sound is distinctive to the Beatles and big part of their records enduring success.

The Beatles happen to be one of the most talked about bands in the world and their respective solo careers were almost equally talked about. Inevitably, the songwriting careers of Lennon and McCartney took on the greatest prominence.

So it's not surprising, after all that's already been said about the Beatles, that eventually idle big mouths started making contrarian shit up like Ringo not being a good drummer or, even worse, not the best drummer in the Beatles. Which has been erroneously attributed to Lennon but in fact was said by, you guessed it, an outsider who just wanted to sound like they had some clever insight into the Beatles. It's total bullshit that can be disproved so easily (by like listening to a few seconds of their music) that it's ridiculous that we are still talking about.

Anyone who thinks Ringo's drumming wasn't all that should try playing the drums themselves. No drummer has ever said Ringo wasn't any good.
