The lead singer of "The Rubberband Man" was a guy named Phillipe Wynne. His nickname was "Soul Walker Wynne"... not only was the music better back then, but the nicknames were as well! 😃
If I remember correctly, he died of a heart attack while performing on stage. He did such a great job on" The Rubberband Man"... what a great song. And, yes, I definitely remember the commercial.
