Shannyn should be considered for the role of Salander. She has the look and the edgy indie cred. If the American version of Girl With The Dragon Tattooo uses some vapid starlet, I will be skipping it.

I'm sure arguments will be made because of Shannyn's age(OMG she's over 25! that's anccccciiieeennnnnt!), but the character Lisbeth had issues as well as substance abuse problems. A fresh faced ingenue isn't going to be able to pull that off. They don't have a lifetime of pain behind their eyes like a mature woman can.
