From what I've heard, a lot of people who have met Ian have actually been so surprised that he's not as tall as he looks in 'TVD'. Paul is definitely slightly taller, so I'm guessing he's 5'11".

Yea 5'9 isn't really tall its kinda average right? My dad is 5'9 and I am not tall at all but when I stand next to him I always feel that he's not much taller than me and I think I'm 5'2. So 5'9 isn't anything to brag about but many women like a tall guy sooo and looks don't mean much because looks fade. It's whats inside that truly counts.

That is so true. I think most women are not near Ian's height. I am around 5'4" and no where near 5'9. On the show Ian looks at least 6' or 6'1 to me.
