When Ian was in the first season of 'LOST' and Chace was in the first few seasons of 'Gossip Girl', I could see a resemblance but not nowadays.

I agree, he does not look like Chace...however, he looks like he could be a brother to Rob Lowe. It's the bone structure.

i think its the eyes but they don't look alike that much

You say you don't see any resemblance between Chace and Ian yet you compare him to Tom Welling,Jared Leto and Kevin Zegers lol. He looks nothing like them but comes close to looking like Chace or favoring him but just better looking.

Probably because in some pictures (older pictures) he really, really does look like him. He could also be Rob Lowe's son but that's another matter entirely.
