If he had any intelligence, or a good Lawyer, he would admit his guilt, and try to get a plea deal.

I think you're right. Still, his case is crap and his defense team knows it. Wouldn't surprise me if they weren't/aren't trying to cut a deal where he pleads "no contest" so he admits nothing except that the evidence would likely convict him.

Remember, the press, and tons of "liberals", bought the idea that two "white supremacists" were walking around Obama's home town with nooses looking for someone to kill. And that they declared they were in "Trump country". And that they instantly recognized a gay black actor is from some boring-ass 'drama' about Motown 70s... jesus I'm yawning just thinking about his story.

When I think of truly stupid juries, I think of the Casey Anthony trial. That case was lost the day the jury of fools was seated.
According to the jury foreman, the prosecution couldn't prove its case because they couldn't prove exactly how the baby died. Seeing that she was buried in a shallow grave decaying for a few months and the body was half eaten by foraging animals, I don't see how her death could be established conclusively short of finding a bullet in her brain.
