I don't know if it's part of her character or not.
in great debaters she definately has a different rhythm to her voice than i'm used to hearing, it was very powerful.
in grey's she had a slight accent, and also the same rhythm.
is it an accent, and where is she from? any info?

shareI know what you mean but she has always I mean always talked like that. Even in her "full house" days. She's just one of those people that I think can get hired off of her voice alone. Not to mention she is a great actress. I wish she was in more things
shareyou know how people say that some children have old souls? Well Jurnee is kind of like that she has an old soul, and her voice has more power behind it, I think she has a big vocal range, and might be able to sing soul but I digress.

I think in 'The Great Debaters' she was suppose to be a southern girl so she had the southern accent! I never noticed an accent in her before and I've seen several movies and t.v shows with her! She certainly doesn't seem to have a New York accent that I can tell.

I don't know if that is her actual accent or not, but I love it. She has a beautiful voice i think.
