The NIGHT Code
Night never had to deal with the Hays Code directly as did Kubrick eg in Lolita but he "follows" Kubrick to some extent satarizing the Code [and McCarthyism in general, espec the 9/11 variant].
But seems he has invented his OWN code of introducing the "bad guy" that Hollywood would not KNOW as the bad guy and KILLS him.
Main one is the shrink in Sixth Sense but also Critic in LITW etc. And all those Americans in The Happening
