Do people want him to make a critical and commercial comeback? I do. I think it would be nice to see. After "The Lady in the Water" - he really lost his way.
shareYes the man is still talented and oddly he's still one of the few directors I'm stoked about making movies. I fairly enjoyed The Visit and thought it was easily his best in years. Early buzz is his new film is the best he's done in years too.
shareI would rather watch a good movie from him than a bad one. Although there is a sense of schadenfreude I get from the work he does and the truth is, he's made more rubbish than good which suggests that perhaps he wasn't quite the talent everybody thought he was in the first place.
