Comeback

I hope Split is his "comeback." I like the guy's stuff...

EXCEPT: The Happening (I mean, what the hell?!?!) After Earth (Don't get me started!) Last Airbender (Just ??????)

I try not to overanalyze his stuff because his movies are 'stories.' I do think Lady in the Water is semi-autobragraphical in the way it's a story within a story, and how it's his definition of what makes a good story.

The lady in the water is by far my favorite movie by him for a couple reasons. One is casting. Paul giamatti is a stellar actor and played his role beautifully as if it was written just for him. His chemistry with both Bryce Dallas Howard and M. Night on screen flowed brilliantly. Two, the story is absolutely the definition of originality. Directly from not only his mind, but the imagination and inspiration of his family as well which to me makes it that much more enjoyable. I will definitely agree that "The Happening" was not one of his better films which I think had a lot to do with casting but none the less, the originality is forever present in all of his films.
