I was disappointed after I found out about Andy Serkis' Oscar snub. However, I was half expecting it since people don't take motion capture performances seriously.
Still I've always thought getting nominated not just winning was quite an honor, and, heck, even getting considered for a nomination is an honor.
Who knows when it will happen but when they do start taking mo-cap seriously , I hope Andy Serkis is the first one they recognize. He's the crown prince of Mo-cap Performance.
