shareGoodness! He's really in all of them: LoTR, Hobbit, TinTin, Avengers, and now Star Wars. My guess, though, is that he only has small parts in the last two. Kind of overexposed, yes, I have to agree.

Its just lazy casting, in my opinion.
At least with the CGI motion capture, no-one has to look as his smug pig face.

Well, i would assume it's largely due to his large talent.
sharePerhaps it has something to do with the fact that he is a brilliant actor, and producers generally have no ability to view an actor outside of the kind of role that made him famous.
He's great at CGI and motion capture performance. You can't blame him, neither movie companies for recruiting him as he is a brilliant actor.
