A Bigger Splash Gets Summer 2016 Release

The independent film is directed by Luca Guadagnino and also stars Matthias Schoenaerts
“A Bigger Splash” will hit U.S. theaters on May 13 in 2016, Fox Searchlight announced on Tuesday in conjunction with Lucky Red and Studiocanal.
The independent film stars Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Matthias Schoenaerts and Dakota Johnson, and is directed by Luca Guadagnino.
“A Bigger Splash” follows rock legend Marianne Lane, who is recuperating on the volcanic island of Pantelleria with her current partner, Paul. However, her world is turned upside down when her old flame Harry arrives with his daughter, Penelope.

Thanks for the update!!

A long wait to see Matthias but at least we have a date for the USA. Anxious to see how it is received in Venice this weekend. Hope we do not have to wait so long for Disorder...but probably so.



No problem.A lot of critics raved about Matthias' performance.I'm truly excited.

Saw the Danish Girl trailer earlier this morning. Eddie Redmayne just rocked it!! Saw some screen shots as well and Matthias looks wonderful as always. Looking forward to December when it will be released in the Chicago area where I live.

Just saw that A Bigger Splash will be screened at BFI in London in October.

Make up your mind,people!The sooner,the better,thoughFox Searchlight has set a May 13 U.S. release for Tilda Swinton drama “A Bigger Splash.”
The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by David Kajganich, will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 6.
Swinton portrays a rock legend on holiday on the volcanic island of Pantelleria with her partner, played by Matthias Schoenaerts. Their stay is disrupted when a record producer and old flame (Ralph Fiennes) unexpectedly arrives with his daughter, portrayed by Dakota Johnson.
The project is one of Variety‘s 30 most-anticipated films of Oscar season.
Swinton and Guadagnino collaborated on the 2009 film “I Am Love.”
