Matthias is phenomenal in Maryland / Disorder

Not your usual "home invasion" film.It's above all an incredible sensorial experience.A great combo between drama & paranoid thriller.And don't expect a love story ala Bodyguard.Matthias Schoenaerts is phenomenal as usual.It's quite an intense performance.You're truly seeing things through the eyes of his emotionally damaged caracter.Diane Kruger is also solid but the movie truly belongs to King Matthias.The ending could have been slightly better but it doesn't take anything away from the quality of the film.A must see.

Maria Helena, since you're French I'm going to ask you something, are there really 7 performances better than Matthias' in Maryland to explain his snub at the Césars? I know the film was quite divisive and didn't have a good box office in France, but Matthias' performance was highly praised, so I don't get this snub. 

I'm also suprised by this snub.Sure Maryland hasn't been a huge box-office hit but it has been praised by a lot of critics, especially Matthias's electrifying performance.However , I'm not gonna lie to you : 2015 has been an incredible year for actors and all of the nominees delivered a great work. Matthias just got unlucky. Had it been last year , he would have made that lineup in his sleep.2015 is just too packed.

Thanks. I'm also surprised that Maryland was snubbed in other categories as well, even in the tech ones. I think at least the soundtrack should get a nom, but the film was totally snubbed. 
