Anyone know why Rodrigo is not playing Gardel in Dare to Love Me anymore? If you check the imdb listing, Raoul Bova is playing Gardel now. I wonder if it's because Rodrigo is filming other movies.

It's because the role is more adequate to a Hispanic (or "latino", not to a Brazilian.
