Does he speak Spanish and Italian?

Does anyone know? Thanks!

reply

Seriously? He speaks portuguese...

reply

He does speak spanish. I'm not sure about Italian, though.
Maybe he speaks some, since he's partly Italian descent.

And how does that makes it impossible for him to speak Spanish and Italian? Are you brazilian?I'm sick of brazilians overreacting when people assume they can speak spanish. And by the way Rodrigo did spoke some Italian and some Spanish in movies although he's not fluent, so is not a suprise if someone is wondering if he can speak those languages.

Maybe because Brazil has nothing to do with Spain whatsoever. It is like claiming a Chinese can speak Japanese. They would get pissed.

The reaction of moviegirrl1990 was uncalled-for.Even if the OP was assuming Brazil's official language was Spanish (which wasn't the case) she should just correct he or she and not act like i was something he HAD to know.

I'm brazilian myself and I see brazilains complaining that people think our native language is spanish but these same brazilians don't know what language a lot of countries speak.

I see people bitching about some americans thinking that Buenos Aires is Brazil's capital while they think New York is the US capital and they don't know much about capitals around the world either.

I I also see people ignoring the fact that we receive a lot more information about the US through television, movies, and even school than the other way around.

There's no reason to be pissed, just correct it and don't act like a bitch.

I think you are reading too much into people's comments.

Actually Spanish and Portuguese are more related than Mandarin and Japanese. So yes in short we (latinos) are capable to understand some Portuguese and vice versa.

I am not sure about Spanish speakers, but Portuguese speakers from Brazil can't understand Spanish. And the term "Latin" only makes sense in a linguistic context. I am not a "Latino", I am a Brazilian. If you are referring to the language, then it'd be lusophone.
