One hundred percent agreed, I watched a documentary on him and his story is fascinating.

He’s too white and straight. In other words uninteresting to the general public.

Yes, it would definitely make for an interesting biopic. In addition to being a larger than life character, it also appears that the colonel didn’t suffer fools lightly :D
