Whatever issues Superman Returns had, it's hard to argue that Brandon Routh wasn't excellent in the parts of both Clark and Superman. It should be noted that I wasn't initially a fan of his casting but after the first teaser I was sold. I liked the movie and am hopeful about the new one, but I wish we had gotten a sequel and a return of Routh. He got a raw deal.

I think he was really good! He paid homage to previous portrayals of Superman, but at the same time managed to make the role his own...I think he should have reprised the role definitely!
