Crooked Arrows and Routh ethnic background

Just found out about him being in the movie "Crooked Arrows" which led me to question if he had any native american ancestry. Going by a few posts here and a short blurb on his Wiki page, apparently he does but, unfortunately, there is no mention of what tribe he's descended from and my googling has turned up nada so far. Anybody know for certain?

I wondered if he had some Eurasan or Native American ancestry myself. & the fact that's it's not some typical Comanchee sort lends it more credence too.
