He was definitely not what was wrong with Superman Returns! If anything, he was the best part of that movie! If Zack Snyder decides to use anyone else he's really shooting himself in the foot.

shareI think Brandon was great as Superman and wish he would return, he just acts great as Superman but agree that KAte Bosworth was miscast as Lois Lane.
Not sure about Sam Huntington as Jimmy, liked some of his acting but weird how he said a few lines really loud at the start if you get what I mean.
He's the reason I watched Superman Returns seventeen times.... And counting.
They should cast Natalie Portman as Lois Lane.

Dude you do realize that Routh was playing a Superman that was basically the same character of Christopher Reeve's Supes? So ofcourse they went with a guy that looked very similar to Reeve. I'm very sad to see Brandon Routh go, he played a great Superman in a medicore movie. It certainly wasn't his fault that the script was so flat and ho-hum, the guy looked to be doing his best. I hope he continues acting and doing his best.
Yeah and now they got some English dude to play Supes...whatever. I'd like to see the day we get an American James Bond and see how the Brits feel about that.

Brandon Routh was awful in the movie (which was terrible by the way) ... he couldn't even act or make me believe for one second he was Superman...
Come on, all he did in the movie was look inspired and tortured ... what a waste of money and time !
All I'm saying in that the new actor and Zack snyder can't do worse than "Superman Returns"...
And to be perfectly honest, Brandon Routh hasn't done anything else afterwards... Have you seen him in a leading role since ?
