I wish he'd direct more films.

Never Let Me Go and One Hour Photo are both competently directed, and almost certainly better to watch than 70% or more of what comes out of Hollywood. I'd easily put them both in my top 100 films of all time.
Even the few music videos of his I've seen have been visually interesting.

Have you ever seen Static? I realize it must be tough to find. My brother found an old VHS copy over twenty years ago.

Yeah... He made the kind of movie that is not commonly funded with a decent budget nowadays... Movies for grown-ups, but that are still entertaining genre movies... Not prestige pictures, nor budget friendly and earnest indie fair...
