I hated Drive BUT...

I got to admit this guy has insane skill and potential as a filmaker. His directing was top notch.
Any suggestions of his previous works ? (hopefully with a well structured plot unlike Drive)

The Pusher series is not to be missed..

Valhalla Rising is STUNNING to look at but it moves very slowly. I really believe watching Refn's earlier, grittier work like the Pusher series prepares you to best appreciate this film.

If you did'n't like Drive then I doubt you will like Valhalla Rising or Bronson (well, maybe not). The pusher trilogy, and Bleeder is what i think is best to start with, although unfortunately Bleeder is sold out and I have'nt heard about a reprint.

definitely check out Bronson. Pusher was pretty good too

Did you get a hold of any of his earlier movies, and how did you like them?

I'm with you enterthedragonmaster, except I went into Drive as a huge fan. Bronson is one of the best movies of the last 13 years, IMO, and definitely one of my favorites. I also really liked Valhalla Rising a lot. But Drive just didn't do it for me, and I was quite disappointed, though I admit that it is not by any means a bad movie: it just isn't Bronson.
