I saw that as it happened. My ears popped with surprise and I thought I'd imagined it at first. Very refreshing in the midst of all the fake cheer and bland platitudes of morning television.
There were audible gasps from the two presenters and Carey Mulligan, one of the presenters said "No, No, not here" and then "Could you make the same point without using that word?". It was hard to read Refn's expression. He looked partly bemused as if he couldn't work out what the fuss was and partly like a naughty boy who's just got away with something.
I got the feeling he said that just to "F" with them. Loved Carey Mulligan's expression. He seems like a guy I'd like to hang out with.
shareHe managed to keep early morning tv interesting.
Its that man again!!
The sad thing about this is that everything has to be political correct. It makes me want to puke. So what if he says *beep*
shareNot swearing on morning TV isn't really much to do with being politically correct though. Prudishness, certainly. Hilarious, definitely
shareI thought Europeans were cool about what is allowed on television. Certainly moreso than in the United States or even here in Canada.
shareContinental European perhaps...not on the upright BBC I guess.
