Bret Easton Ellis...

When I saw the trailer for his new "The neon demon" I came to think of it.
Can't understand how I didn't make the connection earlier when I saw "Drive".
This guy would really be able to do Bret Easton Ellis' novels justice.
Not like the adaptations already out there that truly failed in doing this.

Any BEE-fans out there feel the same?

Funny, I feel the same as you. Hadn't made that connection until I read your post yet now I completely agree. Would love to see him do some BEE justice.

I think he would be a phenomenal choice for a faithful version of Less Than Zero.

Saying that though for a faithful version to be done it would definitely receive an NC-17 rating. Most production companies/distributors aren't interested in those types of movies.

Nonetheless I would be there opening day.

Lazenby, Dalton & Craig ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!

I *beep* agree. Even though it would technically turn out nothing like the book, I would like to see his take on Imperial Bedrooms. Or maybe he would be the one to finally bring BEE's "The Golden Suicides" to life.

Refn and Ellis together would be my wetdream.

After watching Neon Demon, all I could think of was how perfect of a fit he would be to adapt Glamorama.

From the music cues in the book (the "Champagne Supernova" scene in particular,) to even the Confetti references (Theres a scene Neon Demon involving glitter that invokes some very ala BEE symbolism)

...this guy'd knock it out of the park.

Right? Exactly what I was thinking while watching Neon Demon. Yeah "Less" definitely needs a better try than the old one.
