Auteur
So I've just watched Mercenaries - which is an awful film but it entertained me. And I looked the director up to find he has a long list of credits in many film making roles and has churned out a string of horrible, cheap, absurdly silly films. But, with a consistent style and admirable drive which I guess makes him some kind of auteur. In years to come he may be bracketed with Roger Corman and identified as one of the inheritors of the poverty row school of film making
