sharecheers for the spoiler.
shareWill you please learn to not spoil something like that in the title of your post. Use some common sense. It isn't as if this series is 30 years old, then I could forgive it. Spoiling the end of, say, STAR WARS 40 years after the fact is one thing, but come on. Thanks a lot.
shareThanks for ruining a part of Boardwalk Empire for me. I'm currently watching season one on DVD, so I'm not going to remember when in season 3 he will get cut out from the series. But please don't spoil anything next time. He is a great actor by the way. Much better than Ryan Gosling, for instance.
shareWTF? who posts something like that in the subject of a thread!?? I'm only part of the way into the 2nd season of Boardwalk Empire and now you've ruined a huge plot point for me! seriously, man!
shareWoah.. I'm just a few episodes in season 1.. Wow, thank you for spoiling everything for me.. Now i can't "un-read" it.. Tss.

OP - he was fired from the show. While you think he is a great actor (which he really isn't), he does not take direction, always causes a problem on set, and generally is just a real a**hole. Sorry if that is upsetting to hear, but it's all true.
And honestly, if anyone is just starting BE then you should NOT be on the actors or shows IMDB page...just a suggestion. That goes for any show, and to me is just common sense.
Are you sure he was fired from the show? I keep reading that he wasn't fired and that...oh hang on I'll just paste it.
"Winter said the decision to kill off Jimmy was made at the beginning of Season 2, adding, The idea was to try and push things to their absolute limit, even if it makes it difficult for yourself and your writing team. If you take things to their logical extreme with the situation we created, Jimmy has betrayed Nucky, he tried to have him killed. You want to be honest about the storytelling
Anything short of Nucky [killing Jimmy] wouldnt feel real, it wouldnt be real. And it would be a cheat for us to say, We want to keep our beloved character Jimmy Darmody alive.
I have read this from a few websites talking about it. But maybe they are just saying that to diffuse any drama. I thought he was just "fired" by his Agent (more like let go).
I'm still not convinced he is as bad as everyone is saying on this board. But then again all his "haters" seem to know more about him or have watched more interviews of him then I have and I am a fan. :/
Oh well I don't think I am a big enough fan to care that much either way. Just didn't realise how despised he was, especially since a lot of the posts on this board are from people who dislike him. Which must be for good reason.
Did you ever work with him? I'm pretty sure the answer is no !
Michael Pitt is an extremely professional and great actor !
Opinions are like ass holes: everyone has one ! So you can say he's a bad actor, that's your opinion. But don't talk facts simply by reading a Hollywood-gossip story.
