Why Alison Pill Should've Been Nominated for an Emmy for 'In Treatment'

The incredible transformation, episode to episode, in physicality, energy, range of emotion, eliciting sympathy, and more. Kudos and other granola snacks for this amazing character.

While I appreciate the others' performances in this category, esp. Hope Davis's and Dianne Wiest's to be gracious to her castmates, I was astounded by Alison and thought for sure her Emmy nom would help this show get renewed -- not to mention raising her own profile so she'd get more work and more choices.

Alison Pill is a greenlight in my book -- if she's in it, I'm seeing it.

Her performance was amazing - I was captivated. But I think the fact she only had 7 episodes may have something to do with the lack of a nom.

For me her performance as April was the standout in season two by far, just as Mia Wasikowska's Sophie was the standout in season one. How they both missed out on getting awards is beyond me.

I have to agree with you there purple lemon, to me it showed just how talented a lil actress she is. and just how smart she really is....

Agreed. I'm glad some of the others were nominated, though, but Alison Pill's performance should also have been recognised. It really was a masterclass in acting that she gave.
